NEW YORK series by PBS. Any good ?

Ok, I am thinking of treating myself to the 8-pack DVD by PBS which tells the whole story of New York City. As my friends here know, I am madly in love with the city and this set looks like a good one for a NYC lover ! But since it is a bit pricey, I'd love some opinions from those who have seen it! Thank you in advance !

I think it's a good series. Very comprehensive. There is also another single video made concerning the Twin Towers.

Thank you Goth. Yes, the new one is included on the repackaged 8-pack set and I am definetely interested in that too, though I think it will be heartbreaking !

very well done ... authoritative interviews ... great historic photos ... poignant music ... i learned so much i didn't know about nyc's history.

Cannot say enough about this series. Everyone should own it and the music is really beautiful!
