Tonight at 7:00 the Mets will honor their 1986 World Series Team! I was at those games and will never forget them! The ceremony will be broadcast on streaming video at 7 pm Eastern (4 Pacific) on the Mets website. I will have to miss it as I will be at the movies in San Francisco attending a one day only showing of the restored 70mm version of "South Pacific" so I hope it gets stored on their site. It's tearing me apart to have to miss this reunion at Shea!

General Manager Frank Cashen and coaches Bill Robinson and Bud Harrelson will also be on hand. The Mets have extended invitations to all of the 1986 World Champion players and coaches for this special celebration.
The Mets won their second World Series title in 1986, establishing a team record 108 wins in the regular season. The team clinched the National League East Division title by 21 1/2 games and came back from a 2-0 deficit in the World Series to defeat the Boston Red Sox in seven games in one of the most dramatic comebacks in World Series history.
I remember watching them back in 1986
With the team they had, they should have been a more dominant force for a number of years. It will be fun seeing them again
