Ukrainian Kitchen at St. George Ukrainian Church East 7th Street near 3rd Avenue. Walk to the next building past the church toward 2nd Avenue and there is a modern building. On the door is a handwritten sign. Go down the stairs and you will find Ukrainian grandmothers raising money for their church.

Served Fridays and Saturdays at lunch time. All homemade.

piorgies (potato dumplings) - 50 cents each
cabbage rolls - $1
borscht - $1
cake (apple or honey) - $1

Wow, that's a great tip ! We're going tomorrow. Had no idea. (That neighborhood is getting a little pricey lately.) I love those Eggs the Ukranian grandmothers decorate during Easter.
