The great tragedy is that RATNER'S Kosher Dairy Restaurant on Delancy is gone forever. I loved their "vegetable cutlet", kasha varnishkes, potato pancakes, blintzes, onion rolls, etc.
Thank goodness Yonah Shimmell's bakery on Houston still makes authentic knishes (BAKED, not deep fried like the bogus ones sold by hot dog vendors).
