NYC movie theatres- need suggestions

I just moved to NY last month, and I am looking for suggestions from folks as to what the 'best' movie theatre is out here. I've been going to the Lowe's on 34th Street because it's right next to the A/C station, and I like the stadium seating :), but I really hated the crowd that I got with Rent tonight. So, where should I be going to see my movies?

Also, anyone know if there are any 21+ movie theatres out here? I don't mean 'adult' theatres, but back in L.A. I was addicted to going to shows at the Arclight's 21+ theatre, where no matter what the rating of the movie (Shrek 2, or 40 Year Old Virgin, or somewhere in between) no one under 21 was allowed inside. AND the theatre served alcohol. Man I loved that theatre. :)

That 21+ thing sounds really cool (even though I'm only 19).

Yeah the 21+ theatre was great. My friend and I would go see stuff that we weren't even interested in, just because we knew there'd be no screaming kids or text messaging teens in the audience. And plus soo many movies are better when you've had a couple of drinks. :)
