i said this on another thread, but i'll say it again here...GO TO THE AUDITION COMPLETELY WARMED UP!! i know this should be a no-brainer, but they say in their audition info that you will be given time to warm up, so i thought "i'll warm up most of the way now and a little while i'm there to calm my nerves". WRONG.
if you're one of the first people called (i was the second) you will have NO TIME to warm up. if you aren't and you want to warm up, you will have to do it in a room filled with parents, the people staffing that day, and other kids who are auditioning, so depending on your personality it could be a little uncomfortable.
also, don't assume you'll be singing for someone from CAP21. when i was there (a few years ago) there was a woman from ETW, a set designer, and ONE GUY from CAP. they WILL ask what your alternate studio choices are, so read up on the other studios before you get there. i say absolutely pick one, because even if you only want MT, who knows...you might end up with no acceptances except to your second choice studio at NYU, and trust me, you'll be happy when you have that one even if you wanted MT originally. What's the worst that can happen? they offer you another studio and you say no? no problem, right?
that's all the advice i have, besides that, break a leg!
"grace, you're stuffed in a box getting rid of ass plaque. let's face it, this evening is a bust."
