anyone else on this board like her? i feel she was so underrated as an actress and isn't as appreciated as some other actresses from her era (i.e.: elizabeth taylor). anyone else here feel the same way? Updated On: 10/27/04 at 09:35 AM
Marquise, I'm just following you around the threads today...
What a pretty picture of her.
And, yes, I have always been a fan.
I agree. Natalie was stunning to look at and did some excellent work on film. Unfortunately I think she spent too much time in the gossip columns to truly get her due as an actress.
Natalie was a huge star. She was a great actress and a great beauty. I have always loved her movies and loved her. What an amazing spirit. A good child actress who made the transition to adult without any bumps she was a graceful human being who left us too soon.
Does anyone besides me lose it everytime when, in "Splendor in the Grass", the teacher has her stand up in class and she starts to have her breakdown right there in front of everyone? I've watched that movie dozens of times and burst out crying at that scene everytime.
I need to revisit that film - I haven't seen it since I was very young and even then I may have missed part of it - it sounds like a great movie.
her performance in "splendor in the grass" is my absolute favorite and Nipper, that scene gets to me everytime! i have it on dvd and always try to watch it on her birthday.
The first thing I think of regarding Natalie Wood is "Inside Daisy Clover," in the scene where she freaks out inside a booth while trying to dub her singing. I thought it was extraordinarily well done.
She was sOoooooo gorgeous!

I loved her and I was lucky enough to get to meet her as a very small child. I was friends with her daughter Courtney and when I would go to play at their house she would be the nicest mom! It is so sad what happend to her, her death ruiend those kids.
I love her, I've always loved her. I wanted to BE her when "I grow up" as a kid.
I even did a speech about her when I was in the 7th grade...only I was the only person who knew who she was.

It's always a tragedy when people like Natalie, Johnathan Larson, Judy, even Mozart leave us too soon.

my personal favorite

The above picture was taken around the time of her passing. she was only 42 years old. so young!
