Hi there,
I am a german student from the Kassel University.
Currently I am writing my diploma thesis about:
The Acceptance of advertising activities in different cultures
Acc. to that I have a questionnaire running about the topic.
It would be very kind of you if you could take part on this survey.

Thanks a lot in advance!
Best regards from Germany!
Questionnaire for diploma thesis
I took it! Some of the translations were a little iffy...but that's alright. How about you share the results when you're all finished? Or...is that some sort of banned thing in regards to protocol, etc? I mean, what are studies for if not to show findings to the people you're studying?
Oh, disregard my ridiculousness. Good luck!

yay i did it too...i have waaaay too much free time...ha...but some of the questions were confusing between translations and all. and advertising letters or whatever. don't think i have ever gotten one of those. interesting.
...you haven't gotten advertising letters?
Do you LIVE in America?

Thanks a lot for taking part at the survey.
I hope that you could understand at least the sense of the questions. An american Prof. had taken a look at the translation and said its alright, but I think he was just a little bit lazy
I still try to improve some of the sentences so that they sound more natural.
Of course I can try to share the results, but at all it will least a while with the complete analysis.
PS: I hope that my chinese translation is doing fine, because I have got no Idea what the chinese students which helped me out have really written

I took it. I wish I could read chinese to see if they did write anything silly!

@Defying_Gravity_Girl
Me too
But what is good about the chinese questionnaire, is that my professor also is not able to read chinese
On tuesday I have a meeting with someone to improve the english translation beucause some of the sentences sound slightly weird.
I hope it is possible to get the sense of the questions in the current version.

I was able to understand it pretty well, but German is also my second language, so I'm used to the translations being a little bit off. It should be fine!

maybe i just throw them away since i don't know what they are
There were really only two translations I had a little trouble with. But the second one made a lot more sense than the first one (I was able to figure out what was being asked), and I realized that I had answered the first one correctly anyway.
So...in no way did it hamper/change my ability to truthfully answer the questions being asked. Just reassuring you. =]

I am still improving the questionnaire so that it sounds more natural, but it´s not that easy tor translate the german questionnaire into a good english (even for my marketing prof).
What about the following sentences? Do they make sense and
sound like they should in english?
I feel displeased, If my name appears in advertising letters
What do you think about the following statements about advertising with "texting" via mobile phone?
It can happen that during a telephone sales call or information call I just ring off or end the call
It is easy for me to turn a sales representative down
I feel harassed in my privacy by sales representatives
If I find advertising brochures in my mailbox, I throw them in the bin unread
I completed the survey without much trouble. Hope all goes well. You came to the right place because the posters here are very helpful. By the way, my grandfather was German- his name was Adolph Egelberg! mom

I´m glad that I have posted here.
By the way, if someone of you needs help with a german issue, don´t hesitate to ask...
The survey is online again, yesterday the website was down due to any trouble but now it´s allright
Thx a lot for the support

There are still less than 30 participants from the US in the survey.
So please, if you have some time left...

Ah, because 30 is the sample size that's statistically sound, right? Perhaps you ought to post about it in other forums. Or perhaps in the off-topic forum? The student forum (I believe) gets a lot less hits than the others.
Good luck! =]

@lovely: thx alot.
I posted it in various topics. But a lot of people think that
this is spam, so it´s hard to get participants.
At all I am going to try to get about 50 - 100 people from each country-
