PUNK'D: The WB developing Superstar USA, a spoof on American Idol, that promotes truly terrible singers who are clueless about the show's double-faced agenda. Competitors will be clued in to the joke after the final episode.
What a great idea for a show; "let's not only allow people to humiliate themselves like they do for AI but, let's push their humilation a step further and allow them to think they have talent and are getting further and further in the competition."
Why do epople continue to watch this garbage and keep the arting high? Are there really that many people who feel so badly about themselves that they have to watch other people being taken advantage of?
The answer is a sad yes! I have friends who do not watch American Idol. They only watch the first couple of episodes with the auditions to make fun of people. Sad but true Orion
I have never watched an episode of AI, or any of the other shows. If I want to see people be miserable and cry, I'll go out and do it to them myself
Um, won't they be clued in already if the advertising is telling us its a joke?
I think these shows are taped well in advance of advertising and airing. It's likely that the show has been done and the competition is over. If not, you have have to be extremely stoopid to fall for it.
