something struck me this morning as i fought my way through the throngs of politicians loitering right outside my polling place to force their literature on me one last time before i voted.
any politician that does not get into office or re-elected today can work on the streets of NYC handing out the pamphlets to the comedy clubs, strip clubs, and the ones attempting to save my soul.
i won't take what they're handing out then, either.
i was happy to see, though, that there was a fairly good turnout just after 7 a.m. considering our area has no big elections like governor at stake.
how were the polling places where you are today? any big, or hotly contested, races going on?
