New Musical in the Works

Hello, everyone.

Mutt Media LLC, a multimedia production and distribution company, is releasing digital singles to promote a new musical in progress, "Tuck," written by Mark A. Moyer, E.E. Pointer and Shawn Roney. The songs will be performed by Friar and the Monastery Boys. Originally conceived of as a studio band, Friar and the Monastery Boys will soon take songs from the show on the road -- "on the road," in this case, meaning the Midwestern United States, where the band is based. In performing the songs as part of a cabaret act and selling copies of the singles online, the goal is to create a buzz about the project and build an audience for it, so that people will want to see it when it makes its debut in regional theater and then becomes a road show. If the theatrical gods smile upon it (along with a rich backer), maybe it'll reach Broadway and the West End.

The opening number, "Tuck's Theme" (The Legend of Friar Tuck) has been released and is for sale on CD Baby.com. It would nice if you could buy a copy of the song, too, provided you can do so without going into debt.
