Basically its a Mickey and Judy movie re-done in Oz with some very silly New Wave music. If you are a fan of the early eighties it is absolutely delish. The lead actress pre-figured Cyndi Lauper by two years!

I LOVE this film!!! Saw it in 82 and played the lp all the time! Have it on DVD, but am waiting on the cd. Great early 80's music!!

Gillian Armstrong followed up "My Brilliant Career" with this fun Australian trip of a girl who just HAS to make it in the music biz. I don't know why this never made it into the gay lexicon. One of my faves!!

I realized from the trailer I watched this as a kid. Many times--it aired on Super Channel (kinda the early Canadian HBO) a LOT. Wow. Must find a copy.
