That's the way we celebrate New Years in New York
This ain't no B-List shindig, BABY!
This invitation is for the names written at the bottom only and NOT for the following:

Be sure to "Dress to Impress"...it's not up for debate.
"Strike A Pose" ladies and gentlemen, I'll see you at 8!

Curtain, are you seeing La Cage on Broadway? I didn't think they had a show that day!

Yes I am Addy. Not New Year's Eve. New Year's Day night. There are two shows on New Year's Day. I'm going to the evening performance after have dinner at one of my favorite theatre-district restaurants. I can't think of a better way to ring in the New Year than 7th row center orchestra seats to a Broadway show. Especially La Cage, which is one of my all time favorites.

I've been going to shows on NY Eve since high school when I used to take the train to the city with friends and we'd go to a performance and then head back out of the city for a party. I saw Pippin on New Year's Eve. A LONG time ago...
I should mention that there are some shows playing, just none I have any interest in or have already seen...

Seeing a show on New Year's DAY is also a tradition...no better way to ring in the new year!

Addy... you scared the life out of me. I thought maybe they had a schedule change. So, I had to check for myself, and both the 2pm and 8pm performances of La Cage on 1/1 show up when I do a search on Ticketmaster. Maybe it was just a fluke in the system when you tried. Anyway... I'm sure you'll have a great time at Pacific Overtures. I love when New Year's DAY is on a Saturday. You can stay home on New Year's EVE, avoid all the craziness, go out on New Year's DAY night, have a great time, and still have Sunday to regroup before having to be back at work on Monday.

Holiday Schedule

Ticketmaster still doesn't have the shows listed on the 'calendar' of performances...so I never tried to check further.
Agree with you about the holiday calendar! It works perfectly this year!

Last year my friend moved into a new house in a new developement that wasn't nearly completed yet. We partied in half-built houses. And partied for three days.
The year before we rented a bunch of cottages up north and also partied for three days.
We like doing the extended-new years thing. Way better for hangovers!

I can see the fireworks that get shot off over NY harbour and statue of liberty -- I sit in my window (deep sills) and watch the new year come in!
