Honestly, I'm not surprised. I have seen so much unsafe behavior since I have moved here, its ridiculous.
I fear it will get worse before it gets better. There seems to be an attitude that HIV is no longer a threat and unsafe sex has become hugely popular in the gay porn industry (though it has always remained popular in straight porn because straight people don't get HIV, right?). The popularity of crystal meth doesn't help matters much, either.

Of course. That's the only explanation I can find for this sentence of the article:
In July, a study of 452 men interviewed anonymously at gay bars and clubs found 39 percent of those having sex with other men had not revealed their sexual orientation to their doctors, significantly diminishing their likelihood of being tested for HIV.
I mean, I get they are on the DL and all, but unless they're claiming to not be sexually active at all, shouldn't everyone be regularly getting tested for HIV?
God...and to think we thought we had come so far.

The 39% number still staggers me. You're in New York, you can't find a gay doctor?
I agree with Phyllis, anyone having unprotected sex with multiple partners or a new parter - gay or straight - should be getting regularly tested.
