New Zealand erathquake- such a tragedy
#1New Zealand erathquake- such a tragedy
Posted: 2/22/11 at 7:16pmWhen my dad was in the Navy, he was stationed in Christchurch, New Zealand for several years when I was a kid. It was his most favorite place on earth (and he had been on every continent). I remember seeing the photos of the Cathedral and Canterbury University. Watching the news tonight, it was so sad to see that both of those buildings are in shambles. It would have broken my dad's heart. He had always talked of going back there but he never did. My sister said that when the first quake hit in September, my dad looked sad and wondered if the clock made of flowers was still there. I wish I knew.
