I think we're screwed no matter what happens. The world is laughing at us, and leaving us in their economic dust.
As much as it is our Achilles Heel, I hope we keep on spending, spending, spending - because that's the ONLY reason that the rest of the planet is putting up with us at this point.

I once had a dream that Al Gore controlled Hillary. If only that were true. And if only Gore was the one in office instead of Bush. I'm actually convinced that had Gore been in office instead of Clinton, there would've been no 9/11.
But then again, I always was a nut for conspiracy theories.
