This happens every time I get a new PC. And I always forget how to fix it. For some reason, I can not log in to GMail (most importantly, Amazon, Ebay, Broadwayworld, etc. Can't set new passwords, 'cause my gmail and outlook don't log in either. Anyone? Thanks!

Also, how do I get rid of MSN homepage, and reset with other, and create "shortcuts" w/Google chrome?

It's a Lenovo. Windows 7. 3 days old.

I don't understand not being able to log in. Do you have your password? You should be able to log in from any platform.

Creating bookmarks on Chrome just requires you to either click the star by the address or pull the address to your bookmarks bar.

Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!

I can't help you with Gmail or Google chrome since I don't use either but changing your homepage in Windows is easy. Just go to the Control Panel (if you don't know where it is, you can search for it). Once you are there, click on Internet Options and then you will see a space for home page and the msn address listed. Just delete it and enter the address of what you want your home page to be and click OK. That should do it. Good luck with the rest of the problems. By the way, I just got a new computer a few months ago and have Windows 8. It's a little quirky but not as bad as everyone was saying it was. It's certainly a lot better than Vista which is what I was stuck with before.

Tiny, when you say you can't log into anything, do you mean you just can't remember any of your passwords? Because passwords don't change computer to computer.

Thanks everybody, but I DO know my passwords, they work on the old PC, but they won't "work" when I try to log in on the new PC. Do I have to adjust the cookie settings or something? I have spent days and days trying to lo gin. Nothing.

Do you have the caps lock on or something? That would definitely not make you able to login to things if they are case sensitive.

Check your cookie settings. If you have disabled all cookies, then you will not be able to log in, because the website will not remember/recognize you.

I am not sure what browser you are using - but google your browser (i.e., IE, Chrome, Firefox) and how to adjust cookie settings to see if you settings are too restrictive.

Whatever browser you are using, it is usually under the Privacy settings.
