I know, I could have posted this in the other Urinetown audition thread, but I don't want to threadjack...

My college announced the other day that they are doing Urinetown next semester, and I'd love to be a part. I'm a baritone, with a pretty decent range. We don't audition for certain parts at my school, just for the show -- but I'd love to play Lockstock or Cladwell. Any suggestions for song choice?

I can think of some for Hope and Bobby, but not the ones I'm suited for! Thanks Next Semester's Musical: Urinetown

Seems like a lot of colleges have added Urinetown to their seasons! Great musical though...

Oh man...that Foster family. A bundle of talent they are.

^that was really Yoda of me...^

i love this show!! i'm doing a community theatre production of it now. it's a lot a lot of fun.

for cladwell, maybe you could sing "good old days" from Damn Yankees. You could show off your evil malicious side.
for lockstock...hmmm maybe one of gaston's songs from Beauty and the Beast.

I really don't know too much about it although I like what I've heard of the music. My school is doing that musical next year. I'm pretty excited but it does seem like everyone is doing it...wow. Okay, hope I didn't threadjack...break a leg at auditions!

Oh that's an awesome show! I saw it performed at Keene State College and it was pretty good.
