Next Year's School Musical: How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (good or bad)#1

Hello there.
Next year my high school will be putting on HTSIBWRT (lord thats a long abriviation)

anyways, I dont know what kind of reaction to have since I dont know much about the show..like what parts are up for me and what the show is about in general..

I will be a sophmore, and I am a low alto with a mezzo soprano break.
I hope for a big lead...which is possible because my school does not have much talent unfortunatly...

any thoughts?

Actually all the female leads are vocally easy to do:

Roesmary
Smitty
Hedy (you need some mezzo in you for one part of her song)

It's a great show! Especially for high school. As long as you have good boys. The female parts are not the best in any show, but they're fun to do. The songs are generally good/cute, and not horrible at all.

It's long but it's one of those long shows you don't mind being so long. Again though, unless you have not good boys.

Have fun!

Btw, the abbreviation for this show is H2$

I mean, Denzel Washington? Gun to my head..of course.

I just finished playing Rosemary last weekend in NYC in this show. It's one of the GREATEST shows ever. Rosemary is such a sweet and loveable character. Hedy is the ditzy, funny character and smitty is the bold character who really doesn't have any walls up. Miss Jones is the hard nose older character (her vocal part might be a little hard to sing in Brotherhood depending on which version your school does). You are so lucky!!! ENJOY every minute of it.

H2$ is a GREAT show -- you'll have a lot of fun in it!

Here's a question for you theater folks -- I'm searching for a karaoke type CD of the songs from H2$ -- haven't found any success yet -- anyone know of a great site to order music tracks (w/out vocals) from Broadway shows? My Thespian troupe is planning to do a number from H2$ next year and we need to get the music on CD for it.

you can try COLONY RECORDS website http://www.colonymusic.com/

Otherwise, you might have to pay a musical person to put tracks on a cd for you.

Have a great time!!!
