Ugh! i was just sleeping so soundly, for like, the first time in a week, or so, and I get woken up because I had an awful dream. Of course I can't recall what it was, but everytime I go to lay down again, I freak out.
What are some nightmares you've had?
Also, whenever i have a nightmare, all my other ones come rushing back at me too.

I have an awful re-occuring nightmare... that's kinda a real experience. I was five, and spending the night with my grandma. A big storm came through and a lightning bolt hit their garage (it's built off the main house) and the garage caught fire and it was really scary.
So, this nightmare comes everytime it storms.

Oh, man... my #1 theme for nightmares generally involves trying to do some simple task - change the TV channel, use my cell phone, put on my shoes - and it won't work right, and I can't make it work right, and I try and try and get more and more frustrated until I'm just crying and screaming with frustration. I'm sure there's some deep psychology in there. I've also had recurring dreams (although not for some time, I think) about witnessing a plane crash - not being in it, just seeing it happen. But, I'm kind of a nervous flier, so that's not surprising.

LOL, about the plane crashes? No, they never tie to real events. And they tend to be sort of weird/unreal anyway.
Not a nightmare, but when I was 5, we had a plate-glass window in our dining area, and I was sitting at the table with my back to the window during a storm when there was a HUGE crack of lightning/thunder outside that scared the heck out of me! Funny all the things you forget in a lifetime, but I still remember that!

When I was little, I used to have a recurring nightmare. It was weird. I would be standing on the playground at my old elementary school, and all my current friends would be stuck inside one of those geometric dome things that kids can climb on. There was a button on it that said DO NOT PRESS. Whenever you pressed it (which I did), it would make holographic clones of my friends. I don't know what that was bad, but it was.
I know, that doesn't sound very nightmarish, but that's because I haven't mentioned that the Grim Reaper was standing at the top of the hill (the school is higher up than the playground, he was standing next to the school), just watching.
I'm terrified of snakes so most of my nightmares involve having to walk somewhere only the ground is covered with snakes *shudders*
I remember a lot of my dreams and while they're not nightmares I have occasionally dreamed things that happened to me later. Thankfully it hasn't happened in a while, it really freaks me out!

I actually do have a reccuring dream, and now that I'm typing it, I'm sure I"ll have it tonight. I always have awful dreams if I go to bed too early. It's like, my brain isn't tired enough, you lknow? ANYWAY! I have this dream kind of like Thirteen GHosts, the movie. Anyway. It involves going ot camp, and I ALWAYS get ot choose between these two houses to live in )Usually with another person.) AND I ALWAYS CHOOSE THE SAME ONE. Anyway, teh ghosts come out and we have to kill them. Last time i had the dream, I actually didn't go into the house, but the ghosts came after me anyway. I hate that dream, and SOMETIEMS, though rarely, I can wake myself up from it. Blech!
I'll be having a recurring nightmare and somehow know it in the dream and try to stop the killer dude by going a different way but its like no matter what way I run, it just takes me where I always end up in the dream. The same dream will repeat maybe three times before I can wake up out of it. Its really annoying.

I travel around a lot. And always end up in these hole-in-the-wall towns, and what not. So, my mom always feels that she NEEDS to leave the TV on some unsolved crime show, and of course, the murder is always on the loose, and last seen in the town wwwe're in. It's awfuland then I usually can't fall asleep if i hear that. If I'm already sleeping, I sometimes incorporate things like that INTO my dreams, and that totally freaks me out. I'm such a big scaredy-cat it's starting to annoy me.
