"No More Baths!"

Longoria pleads: No more baths!
Friday, July 28 2006, 11:29 BST - by David Cribb

Eva Longoria has pleaded with Desperate Housewives producers to stop giving her baths on the show.

The actress plays Gabrielle Solis in the series, and says her scenes in the bath are not only uncomfortable, but they also attract the male stars uninvited to the set.

She said: "I didn't realise how much lingerie I'd be in and how much time I'd spend in the bathtub. I actually had to go to the director and go, 'Can you please stop putting me in the bathtub?'

"It's a pain in the butt to shoot. You're naked and they just fill it up with bubbles and basically they put body make-up on you so you look beautifully tanned with flawless skin and then it just comes off in the water so you're sitting in this brown water all day.

"There have been times when they do all the tub scenes in one day, so I go out and in comes Ricardo (Chavira), then in comes Jesse (Metcalfe). I'm like 'Guys, can we space out the tub scenes?'".

Perhaps she's confused? She was hired, because she's a piece of ass, not because the producers were impressed with her Shakespeare. Maybe she should be sent to Iraq for a bit, to clean-up after explosions or something. That should help her appreciate the piece of cake, overpaid job she's has. Then, perhaps, she'll shut the hell up!

If she's sitting in brown water all day, maybe she should speak to her union representative.

How awful, to be paid millions of dollars to take baths with Jesse Metcalfe. Oh, the horror.

"Oh the horrors!"

Is Jesse going to come back for the next season?

(A little off topic, but Housewives starts on Lifetime in a couple of weeks. I love the new advertisments.)

Okay, I'm not going crazy. I figured that I just thought I had posted that.

re: 'No More Baths!'

She is NOT a piece of ass. She is an actress (and a fairly good one) and there is nothing wrong with her complaining about being oggled by horny males. What a f*cking double standard this world refuses to obliterate.
"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

Honey,
Calling her a piece of ass is offensive. Not that I would mind all those hot men worshipping my body. I would love to be "Piece of Ass" but it is still offensive to be called that.
Why not call her a beautiful starlet. That's a little more PC.

re: 'No More Baths!'

I disagree with all this bashing. I'm not a hug fan of Eva Longoria, she's not even my favorite on Housewives. But I think it's fair for her to want to be appreciated for her acting, and not for her "assets." You and I would only want that credibility for ourselves. Besides, she's in Hollywood so it's ten times harder for her. GIve her a break.

And the whole Iraq comment was way off-scale. I mean, it's not like she said "Oh, I don't want to do any of my acting anymore, I want a double to do it all for me while I sit in my trailer and drink lemonade." She just doesn't want to do these scenes. Next time you complain about your job, I hope someone scoffs at you and says, "Maybe you should go over to Iraq sometime and clean up after explosions, then you'll be grateful for your job."

You people sure are funny. Everything is so dramatic, so serious. She's a POA. That's why they hired her. No other reason.

I am not surprised to see the word "boy" in your username. Here's a huint: Women do NOT like being referred to as pieces of ass. You should probably keep that as a reference in the back of your mind. Learn how to respect women, please.

re: 'No More Baths!'

hmmm, with all the money she is making if she doesn't like the scenes they are putting her in, perhaps she should seek employment elsewhere.

(and I love the show, nothing against her)

Marcia Cross reminds me of those early Barbie dolls from the 1960s. You know, the ones where you couldn't put up their hair because it made them look bald. That, or an embalmed corpse.
