I just re-watched this very sweet and compelling movie from HBO again the other day. It is the story of a mild-mannered Midwestern family man (Tom Wilkinson, who is-IMHO-one of the finest actors working) who reveals to his wife (Jessica Lange, amazing as always) that he wants to have a sex change operation. Has anybody else seen it?

Yep, it's a great movie.

JOHN LITHGOW I just realized, your last name is Butz! Both "Norbert" AND "Butz" are in your name! You must have gotten picked on a lot as a child!

Just "happened" to watch it last year... I thought it was great.

It's such a lovely, terrific story, with a great acceptance message.
