No need to "blame the vitcim". WHile smoking IS the leading cause of lung cancer, I find it far more effective to educate people rather than critcize and judge them. Let's hope that this message gets out (more and more) and people will either stop smoking or never start. Let's save lives. I lost my Grandfather, not from lung cancer, but from a smoking related death. It is a tragedy no one should have to endure. Lung cancer needs our support just as much as any other cause!
Hello boys and girls last day of the Lung Cancer Awareness Month. I am a little saddened to not see this being bumped up at all, and pretty much only by people affected by the disease. Hopefully at some point this cancer will get the support it needs. (and less of the smoking stigma)
So for me, for my dad for my family, for grownupgroupie - friends & fam, for Fair 2 Middlin - friends & fam, NYadgal- friends & fam, HeartinNYC - friends & fam, PLEASE bump up this message if you could.
Also Rathnait62 Next year we will post about childrens cancer!! I am also sorry for your loss.
Also shesings for bumping the message and adding comments!! Sorry about your grandfather.
I added a link of some cancer awareness months for future knowledge. Thank you all for your help with this post!!!
Awareness Months
Bravo to you, Karma!
Bravo!
Happy to *BUMP*
Karma, thank you for an important, informative and compassionate thread.
My heart goes out to each of you whose lives have been touched by lung cancer. My mom would have been very glad to see awareness raised for this "invisible" disease, as it is often referred.
