Anyone else love this Bing Crosby/Louis Armstrong duet from Cole Porters' High Society? Here's a live TV version of it in addition to the movie version:

I love these clips, PJ! Especially the live one, which I'd never seen.
And did he seriously say "Dear captives of the coaxial cable?" Wow.
So very MODERN for "back in the day." Most people now are still trying to figure out what that means when they visit a Best Buy.
I noticed that...I didn't even think they called it that then.
Love the song. Love Louie. But I've never warmed to Bing Crosby.
His loathesome off-screen treatment of Dixie Lee Crosby and his children taint everything for me.
Taint.
The only time I enjoy him is when he is duetting with either Judy Garland, Connee Boswell or the Andrews Sisters.
I add this performance to that list.
