Guielrmo del Toro would be a fantastic choice.

As long as Jackson is involved and writing it with Fran, it has my blessing. (b/c let's face it, without my blessing it wouldn't get made. )

I'm sure it's been discussed by the studio Borstal.

But this isn't any old fantasy. It's the first book (technically) of a beloved and well-made franchise. And Jackson is involved!
If they were turning some other kids' fantasy into a movie I would be skeptical as well.

it was a short book romantico, but it was all action.
So much happened as Tolkein introduced us to Middle Earth.

I'm really excited its happeneing with Jackson onboard, I just wish one of Jackson's other projects would fall through and allow him to make this his priority. I guess my problem is, Jackson as Exec Prod isn't enough. I want him directing it as well.

This makes me very happy. Since they first announced the trilogy movies, all I've been able to think about is, "what about The Hobbit?"

Making "The Hobbit" into a film is a good idea, considering the success of the LOTR trilogy.

Making it into two parts is nothing but greed.

They've already lost me, and they haven't even left the starting gate. Good for them.

I want to say that the idea of The Hobbit being two films came from Jackson's artistic vision for the piece--not to milk the audience.
