re: Obama wins global primary

One, she didn't cry. She got emotional.

Two, I've watched that damn clip numerous times. And call me gullible, but I believe it to be a genuine display of emotion.

I agree with JRB that that particular moment has been blown way out of proportion.

sorry... i dont buy it, and the only reason she got away with it is because she's a woman... if obama pulled a stunt like that people would have eaten him alive...

gimick. i think i've made it very clear in previous posts that i like some things about her, i'm just not a huge fan overall, but that whole crying thing was a joke... and she's done it twice now... or excuse me "got emotional"... or "got misty eyed" or whatever you want to call it.

Yes they would have cuban--Muskie anyone?

And yes, I agree the Hillary emotional "show" has been blown up out of proportion, just like Michelle Obama's remarks.

I don't know if I buy the second one. But I still think the first one was genuine.

"just like Michelle Obama's remarks."

SERIOUSLY.

Some people just don't understand how different rhetorical devices work.

Not everything is COMPLETELY LITERAL.

i just dont like being labeled an asshole just because we differ in opinions or because i get passionate about things sometimes... i dont think you're an asshole, and i know you're a nice person... a kind person... but i am too. and i TRY to say nice things about her sometimes... i have said many times that she would do a good job, i just prefer him instead...

Barack Obama will require you to work. He is going to demand that you shed your cynicism. That you put down your divisions. That you come out of your isolation, that you move out of your comfort zones. That you push yourselves to be better. And that you engage. Barack will never allow you to go back to your lives as usual, uninvolved, uninformed.

You honestly believe she meant for that to be taken literally? that he will actually force people.

Okay, then. Well, I don't know what to tell you...

Sorry, priest, I thought the reference was to her Pride for America comments that caused such a stir.

Did I call you an asshole, cuban? I simply said that you can't act like you are above all of this when you are just as guilty of sniping about Hillary as I have been about Obama.

And I have said nice things about him. Feel free to search my comments.

From Washington Post Columnist Robert Samuelson's "The Obama Delusion"

" The senator seemd to have hypnotized much of the media & public with his eloquence & his life story. The result is a mass delusion that Obama is forthrightly engaging the nations major problems when, so far, he hasn't".

I wonder how many of his supporters actually know his positions on issues or will just vote for him beause he is the flavor of the month no matter what his positions are.

Well, Mr Roxy, at least they vote, which is more than you can say.

re: Obama wins global primary

If commercials buy votes then Obama has bought Ohio. He is on almost every commercial break and has now taken over the radio. I normally wouldn't mind, but it's the same damn commercial/ radio ad every time. I am a Hillary supporter, but enough already. If these were Hillary ad's I'd be just as annoyed. She has about 3-4 a night, no radio yet. I will of course be a good Dem. and vote for whoever wins the nom. Just no more commercials, I know there will only be more... I can't wait till March 4th is over.

Boy From Ohio, if Hillary had as much money in her campaign as Obama did, she would run them at every commercial break as well.

Why? Because it's more convenient for you to assume that we're dumb kids who are distracted by big pretty words and shiny lights, instead of the fact that we might actually be informed and STILL prefer him over Clinton?

orangeskittles: Don't worry about Roxy. As I already said, he doesn't vote so even if ALL the people who vote for Obama were just voting him because he's a fad, they'd still have a leg up on Roxy.

Unfortunately, Mr. Roxy isn't the only person with that opinion. They'd rather believe you're stupid than accept that your opposing opinion is just as legitimate as theirs.
