Wonder how he feels about invading Iran.
Hmmm what will Clinton, Obama, Pelosi and Edwards do? Something tells me they know it will pass with or without their blessings.

Edwards has already made his position clear on this
Today is the day House Democrats are expected to vote on Iraq - except, news out of Washington this morning says the leadership has come up with a nifty little trick to try to prevent the public from seeing who voted for giving Bush a blank check, and who voted against it. If you thought Democrats were behaving like cowards by caving into a President at a three-decade low in presidential polling and giving him the very blank check they explicitly promised not to give him during the 2006 election, you ain't seen nothing yet. We are watching the rise of the Dick Cheney Democrats - that is, the rise of Democrats who endorse governing in secret and hiding the public's business from the public itself.
This is Great!
PAB- Clinton/Obama went in knowing full well this would go through. These things are planned accordingly and those two have records they need to keep "shiny."
This isn't like American Idol, the outcome was clear yesteraday. Hence Oberman's rip. This comes as no surprise and Clinton/Obama are NOT off the hook for letting this pass.
So it's dammed if they do and dammed if they don't?
That's it.
I'm going Independant.
Yeah that'll make a big difference.
Well...
I....
Uh....
**Throws hands up and walks out**
pab - It's worse this time because it's a song and dance. Both Clinton/Obama have made it clear they will not do a vote for a pullout. These people are liars. It's disgusting and that is why Oberman is pissed.
Clinton/Obama can use this as some lame ammo, "Oh we voted against funding the war." BOLOGNA! They totally pushed that last bill which was almost the same lies. The money is in the budget to bring the troops home NOW. They just don't talk about it.
The senate vote was 80-14 and house vote was 280-142. I fail to see how either party (Clinton or Obama) would have made a difference.
That's why they voted "No."
So again I say, dammed if they do and dammed if they don't.
Well if Pelosi and her team would have kept sending that same last bill back to Bush maybe they would have made a point. Instead Bush still wears the pants.
These Democrats were given a message in November. They are failing miserably. This war is going to go into 2009 and we will be there for probably a decade.
Hillary/Obama would not be damned if they did something right.
They aren't though. This war is about Oil. It's time they go and do something about that. Tomorrow I will read the bill, and I bet there will still be a provision that Hydrocarbon thing in it that privatizes Iraqi Oil. The very reason we are there. Clinton/Obama get off now “cause they voted no.” That is not fair. But remember both voted for that first Iraq bill (a few weeks prior) that contained the SAME provision.
Frankly, I think even Bush is getting tired of the war. He doesnt have the same gung-ho enthusiasm for it that he did even six months ago. He wrote off those three missing soldiers early on in the game, and we didnt see the usual fire and brimstone when Congress balked at yet another blank cheque.
Much as we might like, it looks like 08 is gonna be yet another election in which we choose the lesser of two evils.
I stand with Senator Russell Feingold, who said, "I cannot support a bill that contains nothing more than toothless benchmarks and that allows the President to continue what may be the greatest foreign policy blunder in our nation's history. There has been a lot of tough talk from members of Congress about wanting to end this war, but it looks like the desire for political comfort won out over real action....I'm not just taking aim at Democrats. This is George Bush's war."
Bush isn't tired of war. He wants to bomb Iran, he said as much yesterday.
