The South Side isn't a neighborhood. It's a wide expanse of boredom for people who can't afford the North Side. Lincoln Park = a must-see neigborhood. Morgan Park (my neighborhood) = sit inside the house all weekend and wait to die.

Evelyn & Elphaba, Are either of you familiar with Burbank, or South Stickney, Illinois?
Sunfish, the daylight rain on Thursday morning would have been fine if it hadn't been so cold on the river. I was drenched, and upon hitting land went right into a nearby Old Navy to buy a dry pair of jeans, a shirt and socks.
* Seeing the Chicago skyline while holding an umbrealla and sitting in the open on the top of a river cruise boat in the pouring rain is the only way to soak up the experience.

* Lovely dinner this evening in the Park Grill, Millennium Park. It was crowded and noisy, and the company at my table made the meal especially memorable. The Park Grill overflowing with the Friday night crowd embracing the weekend.
Glad to hear you're enjoying Chicago so much, Jose. You are in the right part of town. Basically, once you start approaching streets with numbers (i.e. 35th and such), you have gone too far into the city.
Go to Boystown and Lincoln Park.
Jose I don't know either of those, I only ventured into the rest of Illinos twice when I lived there....I'd usually head up to WI or MI
