I work at a hotel, and it's the General Managers Birthday this week. The Office Manager collected money (bullied us) for a group gift of golf lessons. I fell this is really impersonal and want to give a separate gift (kiss-up), is this okay or should I just stick with the combined present?

BTW - My birthday is two weeks away and I know I won't get a present from either one of them.
