re: Official Annoying Posters That Teachers Have Quote Thread

I hate these posters. I want to burn them, but I bet they're flame-resistant. Stupid lamination.

"If you want a friend, be a friend"

"Teamwork"

"No one can do everything but everyone can do something"

"Teamwork!"

"[subject that teacher teaches] is an adventure"

"Teamwork!!"

Britney Spears holding a book. The poster reads:

"I still believe... in READING!"

Makes me sick, it does.

"'But do you really mean, sir,' said Peter, 'that there could be other worlds --all over the place, just round the corner-- like that?'

'Nothing is more probable,' said the Professor..."

It took me, like, a minute to understand what this topic meant (I thought 'posters' was referring to people who post here). re: Official Annoying Posters That Teachers Have Quote Thread

Not really related, but I love the demotivation posters. Those are hilarious. My dad has a few in his office. They're the opposite of the corny, inspirational ones that teachers generally have.

"These days, colleges are looking less at these kinds of letters (Right next to a letterjacket) and more at these (Right next to a report card)"

"Study history....or be history" (Something like that)

"100 Things To Do Instead of Doing Drugs: (Proceeds to list an actual list of 100 things. And teachers chide students for not paying attention.)"

I'm sure I'll find more once school starts. My mind is oddly hazy at the moment...

I did see a good one once, though. It was a flasher standing in front of a university wearing a graduation outfit. And it said...

EXPOSE YOURSELF TO HIGHER EDUCATION

"I don't give grades - you earn them!" The official motto of every teacher in my high school. Grrrr.

"Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars!" and other "motivational" things.
