I LOVE YOU. That is my favorite movie of all time.
"Look, do you want to be leader of this gang?"
"No! We agreed, no leader."
"Right. So shut up and do as I say."

"You see, to be quite frank, Kevin, the fabric of the universe is far from perfect. It was a bit of botched job, you see. We only had seven days to make it. And that's where this comes in. This is the only map of all the holes. Well, why repair them? Why not use them to get stinking rich? "

Posted: 10/28/04 at 2:26pmI had the biggest crush on David Rappaport. He was so good in that. And of course Michael Palin and his "problem."

The best was Fidget. But yeah.. David Rappaport rocked - did you ever see him in that short lived series he had .. The Wizard? And who can forget his role on LA Law!
Waiter.. more champagne! And plenty of ice!

No, I never saw the Wizard. I think I was too young at the time. It's so funny that you should bring this whole topic up because I just had someone put together a video for me of a bunch of interviews he did on TV shows before he died. They were talking about The Wizard on some of them. I also have to catch L.A. Law at some point. I'm too young. Ugh.
I love that line! And Ian Holm..."Dat's what I like! Leetle tings heeting each udda!"

Posted: 10/28/04 at 2:36pmHaha! Could you imagine?? It'd need a hell of a budget though. How would we handle the time holes?

It appears that way. Come on, there must be more of us.
Ok, so who would you cast?
#11re: Oh, so that's what an invisible barrier looks like!

Probably a lot of unknowns (especially for the bandits)
Supreme Being: Jim Dale
Kevin: William Ulrich
Evil Genius: Raul Esparza or Frank Langella

Matt, I'm disappointed in you...*tsk tsk* Go see it right now!
Nice! Good choice for Kevin :)
Can we put Jim Broadbent in it? He had such a small role in the movie and I'd love to see him onstage.

Sure... now you cast some roles (or the same ones)
What should some of the musical numbers be?
"More Ice"
"Robbing the Hood"
"Don't touch that"
"I may be short, but I have big pockets"
"A hole in time"
"Bring me the Map"

"The Ballad of Pansy and Vincent"
"Little Things Hitting Each Other"
of course, "Me and My Shadow"
and "Caviar and Quail's Eyeballs."
OK, Jim Broadbent as Winston Ogre, David Hyde Pierce as Vincent, Joel Grey as Benson (only because I want to see Joel Grey turned into a dog and blown up).

Posted: 10/28/04 at 3:03pmWho should write the music and lyrics? Who should direct and choreograph?

Oh God, now that's hard. We need help here, guys!
Any ideas? I'm going blank.

I think Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman would be good. Schwartz could have a go. Trey Parker and Matt Stone from South Park... or Larry O'Keefe
To direct and choreograph, not sure.

Yeah, I like those. Marc, would you do it?

Alan Menken could also have fun with the score I bet.
Whoever did DOTV's set design would probably be a good one to get. Costumes?
