Power corrupts, I guess, no matter what your party. The Republican Party that took its Congressional majorities 10 years ago by vowing to cut stuff like pork-barrel spending is now a huge practitioner of it, and acting a whole lot like the Democrats it criticized and displaced back then.
10 years is all it takes. Sad, huh?
