I don't mean the Loverboy kind...that would be kind of neat.
I'm talkin' bout the seemingly Bump-It influenced, Flo-wearin', I-wish-I-was-Alice-in-Wonderland HEADBANDS! Like, pushed up halfway on top of the skull? With hanks of hair gathered in the back? I have seen this atrocious look on several gays throughout the summer and it's enough to make me want snatch.
For reference, please look at Zachary Quinto looking uber-douchey at the ANGELS IN AMERICA meet and greet.
Oh, the humanity!
Okay, I just checked out those photos and that is the first time I've seen that look. And I hope it's the last. First we had low-rise, then skinny, then super-skinny, then multiple rubber band head bands and now this. I don't get it. And people think the 80s looked bad? HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
It just hurts.

Are you saying Zachary Quinto is gay?
To paraphrase Scott Thompson:
Oh, I'm not saying he's gaay...I'm just saying I hope he has a good lover.
Someone who can keep it up after viewing that "fashion don't".

Heh.
Honestly, it doesn't really bug me. If you're going to have longish floppy hair that isn't long enough to put in a ponytail, you gotta have something to keep it out of your face.
He should consider a haircut next time he has his weekly eyebrow waxing.
I think he's simply being utilitarian.....he doesn't want to get hair in his Wheaties. A nice tiara might do the trick also.
My daughter's boyfriend wears his headband like that..

There can be a great comfort in knowing your daughter's boyfriend is gay.
LOL!! thank you, Joe!
It's not skinny like Zachary's, but he wears a black bandana all half way pushed up like that.
..still gay?
My spinning teacher's daughter's boyfriend is totally gay. But I don't know if he wears a headband.
No, but possibly gang related.
My brother isn't gay as far as I know, but he used to wear a metal wire as a headband, when it was hot and he wanted it out of his face. It's slightly more masculine than an elastic headband purchased from the barrettes aisle.
My friend's son is precious. He's 6'7", blonde and really handsome. He has a mop full of curls that makes him crazy sometimes, so he's been known to grab a headband to keep it out of his eyes. It just makes him more adorable. The young gals swoon.
My nephew was doing that five years ago. He's straight. Think it started with the skater boy's.

We should have a "Gay Nephew" thread. The one I thought for sure was turned out to be a straight republican but I have another one who is.
Honey, straight republican don't mean a THING.
"The one I thought for sure was turned out to be a straight republican"
uh huh
I tend to do that a lot with my sunglasses, but I'm not gay.
David can work a headband.
