And she FANTASTIC!
Even my brother, who has no clue who she was, was like, "Wow, whoever played his mom is really good for such a small role."

Julianne Moore should've won the Oscar.
The scene in the courthouse, and then afterwards-where she just cries-is absolutely amazing. I really think that she is the finest actress working in film today.

Love Amber Waves.
Mark W. is amazing too. So adorable.
Rollergirl, Burt... They're all incredible.
What about my favorite Tevye?

I think Julianne Moore as Amber is brilliant in the scene with Heather Graham (Rollergirl) in the bedroom, both coked out of their minds. Julianne definitely should have won an Oscar for her performance. I love this movie!

I'm seeing DRS on saturday with family. It's funny how EVERYONE knows John Lithgow, nobody(besides us theater folk who don't think his name is funny anymore) knows Norbert Leo Butz (but that will change after this show), and most people kinda/sorta know Joanna Gleason, but can't quite place her. How does Paris Hilton's dog become more famous than this incredible talent?

Posted: 4/5/05 at 11:53pmmidtown - because Gleason wasn't on a ridiculously stupid yet ridiculously popular long-running sitcom, as Lithgow was. But still, she has worked enough on film and in TV to have more recognition than she does. I don't get it.

Not strictly true, Rath...she was on Friends.

Ouch, Ellie. That stings.
Seriously, though, she was only on Friends as a recurring character for one season. People can't place her from that usually - believe me, I've tried that one many times.

Wasn't she on 'Bette' as well?
Yeah - that'll help!

I love Boogie Nights and I agree that Julianne Moore deserved that Oscar. She was amazing in the film.
Anyone remember Joanna Gleason from that wonderful sitcom, Hello Larry?
