Right after I graduated, I found out that 2 of the boys on the soccer team had been seeing each other in secret for 3 years.
(not really dating... more of a purely sexual relationship. And right after graduation, one of them asked out one of my theatre friends whom he had terrorized for most of high school for being gay. Weird.)

Anyway, that sort of thing did happen on my school's soccer team...
I'm just saying, it's possible.
