i would consider it a standard

but if i had to place it under "ballad" or "uptempo" i would say ballad -- think of the subject matter.

I knew you would respond Sporti! That's what I figured. I need ballad for an (informal) audition, and this piece is so me. I may do even though its a bit of a stretch.

if it's an informal audition, i'd say you're all set....especially if it's "you"!!

I think so song could be a ballad or up-tempo. It is up to the singer in which way they would want to sing it. I sang it for my up-beat, but if you slow it down, I think you could pull it off saying that it is a ballad (especially if the audition is informal!). Break a leg!
