The local library is getting rid of all the old Life Magazines from storage (1949-1995) Are there any good ones to look for. I got one with "Guys and Dolls" and one with "Jesus Christ Superstar" on the cover.

All of the 60's have been taken, because of their worth, but can anyone point me to other Broadway covers, etc? Thanks

Look for the March 27, 1959. That issue features Rose Marie's scandalous nude centerfold that got her bounced from the Broadway hit "Top Banana"!

The cover line was Oh Ro! - Wearing Nothing But a Bow!

This is obscure and randy. It is also well worth the search. I was reminded of this photo when President Ford died last month.

The year-end review of pictures for 1976 had a two page spread (no pun) of Gerald Ford's son Steve Ford (an actor) along with his Secret Service agents and some friends (all male) on a camping trip in the west someplace.

The center of the picture is someone (not Steve) butt naked standing with his back to the camera, and the rest of the guys are in various states of dress and undress. I believe they had all just hit a swimming hole or had just woken up or something. The light is glorious. Almost as glorious as the subjects.

This is one of those truly homoerotic pictures that made it into the mainstream during the 70s before everybody got so uptight about a whole lot of things.

This issue of Life is worth having.
