Never seen The Heiress. I have actually seen Light in the Piazza before, but I'll see it again.
I need to see more of her...I think I could get addicted though. I've only see her in Gone With the Wind, but I'm watching Piazza tonight. :)
the Heiress is wonderful
Happy Birthday to this wonderful actress. She is 89 years old today!!
if you get a chance to watch the "MELANIE REMEMBERS" extra on the 4-dvd edition of GWTW, by all means do so! it is a hoot to listen to her tell some wonderful anecdotes about the production. and she is just as dramatic in her later years.
Wow... no idea 1) it was her birthday, and 2) that she's still alive. I thought she'd passed...
The Heiress was good. I don't think I could walk away from Montgomery Clift like that. I'd be like... take my money...
Walking the dog to come back for Piazza.
Hm... not sure how I felt about Light in the Piazza. The ending bothered me a little. Plus... were the father and son hiding something too? They had that exchange towards the end where the father said something to the effect that they (the mother and daughter) didn't have to know or something. Did I miss something?
day, I feel that the son was as slow as the daughter......and that neither the mother or father knew the other was
I love this movie
That's what I was gathering... as I think about it I like it more. I'll have to see it again.
we taped it, as it fits in with others we like, like Summertime, and Roman Holiday.
Whenever I start missing Italy, I watch one.
I've never been to Italy. My next europpean trip is going to be to Italy and Spain.
I am pea green with envy.
Maybe I'll get it together soon and get TCM.
I adore it when I visit AndyHardy in NYC.
The Heiress - one of my all time faves. (The score!)
How is the film of Piazza?
The film was good. I haven't seen the play, but I just spoke with Dottie as he got out of Piazza, and we were totally comparing notes. It seems that they're very close.
