On AOL news today...

I know that this has been in discussion for awhile and has probably already been a discussion on the board, but heres an article that was on AOL today. If you can't read it, here's the important part of the article:

"SACRAMENTO (Nov. 14) - A new Silicon Valley-based organization will begin running statewide advertisements backing a constitutional amendment that would let Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and other foreign-born citizens run for president.

"You cannot choose the land of your birth. You can choose the land you love," Lissa Morgenthaler-Jones says in the cable television ads, scheduled to start running on Monday.

She is a Bay area mutual fund manager and major Schwarzenegger campaign donor who is helping pay for the ads. She also created a companion Web site, www.amendforarnold.com.

Schwarzenegger, 57, has said he would consider running for president if the Constitution allowed. He was born in Austria but came to the U.S. in 1968 and gained citizenship in 1983.

He hasn't pushed for a constitutional change, but the TV ads mark the first significant attempt to build public support for an amendment. While polls show Schwarzenegger remains popular with voters, the idea of a constitutional change is not.

The new ads aim to change that view and specifically cite Schwarzenegger: "Help us amend the Constitution. Help us amend for Arnold."

Four proposed amendments are circulating in Congress, but none has yet advanced. Constitutional amendments require ratification by 38 states after being approved by Congress."

So whats everyone's opinion on this? Personally, I like Arnold in Cali he hasn't ruined anything but I don't like the idea of someone from a different country becoming our President.
