1506, the great Italian explorer Christopher Columbus dies in Valladolid, Spain.

1899, Jacob German of New York City became the first driver to be arrested for speeding

1916, Norman Rockwell’s first cover on The Saturday Evening Post appeared.

1927, Lucky’ Lindbergh took off from Roosevelt Field in New York aboard the small airplane Spirit of St. Louis, en route to Paris

1978, Mavis Hutchinson, 53, made it to New York City to become the first woman to run across America (YOU GO GIRL!)

I was set up as a kept-boy. I recieved gifts such as cars and soggy pasta, but was never satisfied with the truth.
