I'm an only child.
Who else?
I'm in the ONLY CHILD CLUB. The OCC.
Currently we have one member. We're not looking to expand membership at this time.

Posted: 5/30/07 at 8:52pmI would also like to gain membership into the OCC. No siblings here. At times, I have wished for one, but then I saw how many of my friends cannot stand their siblings, and I feel a little better. Still, it was lonely growing up sometimes.

I asked who was an ONLY CHILD. You guys are killing me with thoughts of having to share parental affection (and $).

I do wonder if it is becoming more or less common to have only one child. I'm going through my list of friends and I can't think of a single one who is an only child.
My brother-in-law's sister and her husband had their minds set in stone to only have one child and one child only. Figures they had twins.

Posted: 5/30/07 at 11:00pmI'm an only child. Except for my sister. But she's ten years older than me and she went away to college when I was eight and never moved back home. So I was practically an only child for most of my life.
