I would also like to gain membership into the OCC. No siblings here. At times, I have wished for one, but then I saw how many of my friends cannot stand their siblings, and I feel a little better. Still, it was lonely growing up sometimes.

I asked who was an ONLY CHILD. You guys are killing me with thoughts of having to share parental affection (and $).

Only child.

Sometimes...not so much.

I'm an only child, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I was an only child until I was 11. Then my dad and stepmom had my brother. Now I am the oldest of three.

Wow, dancing, I was the only child until my dad and stepmother had my sister when I was 11, and I eventually became the oldest of three as well!

I do wonder if it is becoming more or less common to have only one child. I'm going through my list of friends and I can't think of a single one who is an only child.
My brother-in-law's sister and her husband had their minds set in stone to only have one child and one child only. Figures they had twins.

I'm an only child. Except for my sister. But she's ten years older than me and she went away to college when I was eight and never moved back home. So I was practically an only child for most of my life.
Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)
