I sometimes don't mind seeing or hearing things that I know will get me going but, the RNC is just too much. I'll wait to catch the highlights on the nightly news. Small doses.

It's a typical convention week night in the Iflit household. Family bonding while shouting obscenities at the TV.
And yes, mominator, I think these folks will have your systolic back into triple digits in 30 minutes or less.

Evening watching my salt, my systolic is already boderline (128-130) so I have to be careful. But Ed Koch did me in this afternoon. And he's an effing Democrat, so he still claims, the louse(Namo, chime in, please on that MF's duplicity. Anyone who saw the revival of "The Normal Heart" knows plenty about the Koch brand of closeted denial, er conservative compassion). Marching yesterday is the only thing that helped me. I have sore feet but I let off steam. I'm back in the trenches on Wednesday, at the AFL-CIO demonstration, shoulder to shoulder with my Writers Guild folk.
For now, I'm watching FOOD--unwrapped. Mark Summers has no party affiliation that I know of.

Well, you guys are missing the parade of ethnicity intended to demonstrate how the Republican Party is the party of inclusion. There was the Middle Eastern looking guy defending the Patriot Act, followed by a Iraqi woman in a head scarf. Can a black lesbian be far behind?
Dick Cheney arrived, and he's looking surprisingly healthy. I might have miscalculated the timing of his impending health crisis. I'm starting to favor the scenario where he gallantly drops out of the race...speaking bravely from his hospital bed... due to (fill in your favorite diagnosis) just before the election, and Condi Rice steps up to fill his shoes in the VP spot. Could happen.
