Funny comment on the radio this morning about how as cameras are now allowed in the courtroom, she might forget she's a juror and start interviewing the defendant about how he's feeling.

I dont see why this is such a big deal. This story has been on all the news channel here in chicago...and i see no point...but if i were in involved in that case, i would love to have oprah on the jury...i wonder if she will influence the case a lot because of her celebrity.

Personally, I don't think she should be allowed to serve. Her presence would be very distracting.

Doesn't matter. If there's no cameras allowed in the courtroom, everything should be fine. Jurors are just supposed to sit there and listen- what's so distracting about that? If she's serving, good for her. Jury duty is one of the few duties left that bind all citizens. Everyone should have to do it, even celebrities.

Well, it must be nice to be on the jury WITH Oprah. Instead of having to go to the cafeteria, they had a catered lunch brought in to the jury room.

I wonder if she will have more influence in the jury room during the deliberations because of her celebrity. People giving more credence to her opinion because they have seen her in an "authority" position for so long.

Seems the same thing would apply to Rudy G. How did that end?
