Just got my tickets for my annual trek to Ashland, Oregon to see some shows at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. I'm seeing Loves Labour's Lost, Richard III, Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, Napoli Millionaria and Room Service. Anybody else here ever been to the festival? They do some really great stuff.

I was there a couple years back. I saw Romeo and Juliet, which was very well done. The set was stark and very effective. I loved the production. I also saw Present Laughter, which I HATED with a passion. It was the only show I have ever fallen asleep during. What a bore.

I go every single year! It's one of my absolute favorite places in the world--I KNOW you'll enjoy yourself! Take the backstage tour, it's well worth it. And go to the Greenleaf. Try the spanikopita---it's their specialty.

Sorry, it's my absolute favorite place.

I LOVED the backstage tour. That was so much fun.

I also loved the classes they provide. I took Renaissance Dancing and Stage Fighting. Stage Fighting was great, even though it resulted in me getting a bloody lip.

Delphine, I had just the opposite reaction. I loved Present Laughter, but hated Romeo and Juliet. Last year I think was the first year where I completely loved every show I saw, especially Raisin in the Sun, Comedy of Errors and Royal Family. laelofhtelakes, where is Greenleaf? It sounds vaguely familiar but I can't remember.

OMG i love Ashland!!! Ugh too bad i'm a poor college student in LA right now. I've gone there for the shakespeare festival twice with my highschool a couple years ago and loved it. I saw that Romeo and Juliet and loved it cept i was sick so it was kinda hard to enjoy it that much but i thought it was cool for what i could enjoy. Have fun!!!
