Ok, I am watching "She's All That" (its on USA right now). Does anyone else find the dance scene reminiscent of the dance scene from Wicked? It scared me a bit...

I want to write music. I want to sit down right now at my piano and write a song that people will listen to and remember and do the same thing every morning...for the rest of my life. - Jonathan Larson. Tick, Tick...BOOM!

Isn't that the one with the creepily-choreographed number to "funk soul brother" that everyone mysteriously knows the moves to?

Good comparison!

it's not a mystery...Usher mentions teaching them how to do the dance in Phys Ed class or something.

CLAYTON HAMILTON, "Theory of the Theatre" "I think theater ought to be theatrical ... you know, shuffling the pack in different ways so that it's -- there's always some kind of ambush involved in the experience. You're being ambushed by an unexpected word, or by an elephant falling out of the cupboard, whatever it is." TOM STOPPARD

Ah. That would explain it-I probably saw it on cable and wasn't paying attention! The African anteater dance number in "Can't buy me love" is a little more my era.

(I love teen movies, but Rachel Leigh Cook just gets on my nerves...so I obviously never paid proper homage.) Updated On: 10/23/04 at 05:53 PM

My dear mother, rented that movie and watched that scene over and over again until she learned the dance moves by heart.

Now thats scary.

SHE'S ALL THAT is the reason I despise Rachel Lee Cook. That movie was a steaming pile of ass.

I saw the horrifying movie known as "Josie and the Pussycats" last week, bringing my grand total of Rachel Leigh Cook watching experiences to 2.

The first:
"The Babysitters Club Movie"

I starred in a short film called Magnetic Personality. Check it out!

That movie is probably even more egrigious because of the atrocities commited upon Alan Cumming and Parker Posey.

Plus Tara Reid and Rachel Leigh Cook in such close proximity kind of gives me a seizure.
