Who knew Randy Quaid could be so creepy?

Who knew surreal horror and surreal comedy could be fused in such an awesome awesome way?

Who knew Bob Balaban (Yes, THAT Bob Balaban of GOSFORD PARK and Christopher Guest movies) was such an amazingly creative director?

And, on top of this, Angelo Badalamenti (one of the best film composers ever) did the score.

I really disliked this film. I saw it when it was first released, and it just felt like some boring warmed over faux David Lynch. Tedious.
