PEOPLE PLEASE YOU ARE KILLING ME!

STOP STOP STOP ABSOLUTELY STOP with the name Idina. I am so sick of it Idina Idina Idina Idina Idina...I don't even have to read the posts just seeing the damn name in all the subject lines makes me want to hurl, If we must refer to that woman can we please come up with a different way to refer to her: special thanks to the person who titled their post "Mrs. Diggs something or other" I am just so tired of that name
"I guess she is one very confident girl who feels if you see it, it shall be. I hope she sees a room with a piano player and a bunch of scary middle-aged queens sitting behind a table, talking to each other as she auditions!!" -Marc Shaiman on Kelly Osbourne in Hairspray

Idina is not just a name... it's the mantra of broadway loving teenyboppers everywhere...

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
"The stage is where I live and come alive and act out all the things that go on in my life. It's not just what I do for a living, it's my shrink and my love affair. No one in my life has ever or ever will kiss me on the mouth like this lover called my relationship with my performance."

"This is probably the 54th "stop talking about Idina" thread. It's not going to happen. Live with it."

TRUST ME I KNOW...as I expressed I just wish people could call her something else because I am so sick of seeing the letters that make up that name combined. (I am not going to type the actual letters because I hate them) Also, look at the damn threads below this one they are all use that freakin name!

"Uh, plum, you were supposed to say "Mrs. Taye Diggs." I know you were kidding, but seriously any other name.PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

re: PEOPLE PLEASE YOU ARE KILLING ME!

I've got no beef with Mrs. Diggs. I think she's massively overrated but barely anyone could live up to the kind of greatness her fans are convinced she exudes. The gal is extremely talented and a hard worker, so my problem isn't with her. What really bugs me is the endless references to gravity, more specifically the defying of it. Someone please tell me- when the hell did gravity become the enemy? How has an essential force of nature, something that makes it possible for life to even exist on this planet, come to deserve the scorn and hatred of every teenage girl with no head voice?

I say, discuss the "I-word" till you're blue, but how about we all start OBEYING gravity and appreciating it, even if Schwartz tells us not to.

I am the epitome of maturity on this board CJR, it's worth it for that title.

Alright, I give up. I just won't name my kids that name which Sum so graciously spelled out for us...I really do hate it now though

It makes me sick that teenyboppers everywhere will see her name and immediatly think of Wicked. re: PEOPLE PLEASE YOU ARE KILLING ME!

re: PEOPLE PLEASE YOU ARE KILLING ME!

But it's so hard to find women with a 3 syllable name, with the stress on the second syllable, to put into the chorus part of Evita.

"Idina, Idina, Idina"
She steps out of the Gershwin stage door.
"Don't cry for me Wicked fan base. The truth is I shall not leave you. My voice is tired and needs a resting. I am Idina and always will be."

It's cyclical. In a month or two, we'll be assaulted with Sutton threads again and you'll begging to hear about Idina or anyone else.

BroadwayMatt-- Thanks for the laugh re: PEOPLE PLEASE YOU ARE KILLING ME!
Here in this cold white room tied up to these machines, it's hard to imagine life as it used to be. Laughing, screaming, tumbling queen... Like the most amazing light show you've ever seen. Whirling, swirling, never blue... How could you go and die? What a selfish thing to do... RIP Jason

re: PEOPLE PLEASE YOU ARE KILLING ME!

Haha!

Really, though, I know the Wicked threads are getting annoying, but to ask people to stop talking about Idina is just ridiculous. I'm not saying I want to see ten million more threads about the stage door, but I have nothing against intelligent discussion, especially with the Rent movie news.

And yelling at people it just going to make them angry at you...

If it's really "killing" you, then get off the message board for a while.

FOCI, didn't you start posting here talking about Idina a lot? Sometimes I think people start these threads to make a couple of friends.

re: PEOPLE PLEASE YOU ARE KILLING ME!

Yes, as someone said, the craze for Idina (who I am proudly a fan of, a non-scary/insane fan, but a fan non the less) will end and Sutton will probably be occupying the threads and buddy icons soon. It's all a machine, there will always be that show, that performer. Nothing to be done about it.

It's nice to see that Jose' feels the need to censor me even when I don't violate the guidlines.

this makes me wonder, have you ever met or heard anyone else named Idina...
