Funny, I thought it was always available...who knew?

It's been available in assorted other releases over the years, but never from Criterion.
It has but not loaded with supplementals or on BluRay.
Noticed that Criterion has had a lot of releases of the canonical works like this, Nashville, and Red River for this year in addition to re-releasing the more well known works on the new dual format release method. I know Criterion lost rights to a few films like Studio Canal but I am assuming putting out stuff like Persona gives the company room to put out the more adventurous stuff.
I just hope the rumors they will put out Todd Haynes' Safe are true.
If anyone hasn't seen this film, you should!!

That NASHVILLE Blu-Ray is a marvel -- if you admire the film at all you really shouldn't delay in getting it.
All kinds of rumored and hinted at projects in the pipeline. ERASERHEAD, a Jacques Demy box set, a Tati box set, Polanski's MACBETH. They never did release Y TU MAMA TAMBIEN, or at least, not yet.
Yeah, the fact Cuaron stopped by the Criterion office has a lot of people speculating another feature of his will get in and Y Tu Mama Tambien plays into Criterion's wheelhouse.
Also talk that Mulholland Drive in addition to Eraserhead, though not together, is coming out. Monte Hellman also announced on Facebook that his film The Shooting is going to be on Criterion.
I adore the Nashville set. Such an amazing film.
