Pajama Game Audition

Hey everyone!

I have my high school's musical audition coming up, and I have absolutely no idea what to sing. I'm not going for a specific part (because they'll go to seniors, anyway), but I want to sing something that shows off my voice because none of the people casting the show know that I can belt. I can sing alto, but I'm mainly a soprano one, and I can belt up to an F or G an octave above middle C. They like modern stuff moreso than old showtunes, and no Sondheim (they find it too depressing).

Any suggestions?

what about it's too darn hot from Kiss Me Kate, I don't know it seems to have the same style as alot of the songs in pajama game. or something from anything goes. blanked out on this one, sorry.

maybe, if going with Kiss Me Kate, and you can belt: "Always True To You" is a great song or "I Hate Men"

Gracey could sing the phone book for her audition and be amazing. (Hi dear!) I can't think of what I'm doing or what you should... We can brainstorm at some point.

Why not perfect relationship from "Bells are ringing" actually.. pretty much anything from that score would be perfect. it's around the same time as PG. Maybe even "Happy To Keep His Dinner Warm" from H2$...
