TORONTO (AP) -- Sarah Palin unwittingly took a prank call Saturday from a Canadian comedian posing as French President Nicolas Sarkozy and telling her she would make a good president someday.
'Maybe in eight years,' replies a laughing Palin.

Le joke est Palin, oui?
Vraiment!
Classic! What were the "pre-conditions"?
Am I the only person who finds this absolutely adorable?
Heard the whole thing on David Shuster's show last night. Even when they talked about his wife writing a song about Joe the Plumber, she didn't have a clue her leg was being pulled. I almost -- almost -- felt bad for her, she seemed so gulible. But she was also so focused on her self-serving message -- the same talking points were blathered out toward the President of France, as if he might cast a vote on Tuesday. She needs a vacation. Please, let's give her one. A long one.
"Hello, Nicky? Nicky Sar-coh-zee? It's me, Sarah!"
Here's the phone call itself:

I'd love to have been within a ten foot radius of Sarah Palin when she realized she'd been pranked, if only to witness the decapitation of the staff responsible for letting the call get through.

I don't know how a line like THAT got past her!
Funny stuff.
Ohhh, GOD. This is hilarious, but at the same time, I'm SOOOO embarrassed for her.
Someone at Huffpost opined, rather powerfully, that she's actually learning disabled, an entirely auditory learner who cannot absorb information from the printed page. This might explain her educational journey through several colleges and other lapses.
Auditory learners tend to focus on all conversations with a different goal than the rest of us. Rather than seek connection, they invest in the opportunity to acquire information. So tracking this through the prank, she remained in contact with the comedians to learn as much as she possibly could via a ludicrously shallow exchange. For the auditory learner, such a moment is about catching up, no matter how empty the words seem to be. She's probably "a good listener," but she's not listening for a prank; she's desperate to acquire knowledge. Before many of you dismiss this, think about, and then recall her performances in the debate and interviews. It actually tracks.
